Beauty

“I thought of you and how you love this beauty,
And walking up the long beach all alone
I heard the waves breaking in measured thunder
As you and I once heard their monotone.

Around me were the echoing dunes, beyond me
The cold and sparkling silver of the sea --
We two will pass through death and ages lengthen
Before you hear that sound again with me.”

Something there to remember

Really I don't dislike to cook, but what you cook is eaten so quickly.  When you sew, you have something that will last to show for your efforts.

T stands for Freedom and Balance

Hello Elizabeth!Hello My Lovelies!

Hope you are well! Today I don't have much to say. My shoulder has been aching since yesterday. It's my bursitis attacking me again. So I am going to show you some of my daughter's photos. Proud mother here lol
Hope you like them.

And
a lovely quote I found as I try to forget how much my shoulder aches:

“If my eyes have pain, I close them; If my body aches, I rest it; If my heart breaks, I mend it; If my soul is lost, I pray for it”

Marilyn & her coffee

Hello Elizabeth!Hello My Lovelies!

First of all, I'd like to apologize for not being able to visit all your blogs last week. It's the end of the first bimester here and I've been busy correcting tests, evaluating students, not to mention my daughter's sickness. I'm glad she's much better now. Thanks so much for your support. My heart goes to each one of you wherever you are. Thanks for your lovely words.

I found Marilyn Monroe drinking coffee so I decided to create something with her photo. I also made a card for The Cheerful Stamp Pad.

When Spring comes

For my design card I've used Sweet Pea Stamps digi  “Night Dreamer” by Ching Chou Kuik colouring with watercolor pencils. Then, I mounted my lovely image which I love on three scrapbook papers and I added a couple of laise trims, 3D stickers, pearls and a sentiment. This card is originally for The Cheerful Stamp Pad where I am a designer and it is also for:

Tori - The Dragon Raining Hearts

For the second week of "Valentine" at The Cheerful Stamp Pad, I've created a card using an image designed by Conie Fong. It's called Tori The Dragon Raining Hearts and you can find it at Sweet Peas Stamps. I hand coloured my lovely image and layered it onto two scrapbook papers from Toke e Crie. Then,I adorned my card with some foam hearts, crystals, ribbons and lace. The sentiment is from Creative Imaginations.

Fairy's Dream

This is my design card for the Cheerful stamp pad challenge 103: Valentine.

For our first week of  "Valentine", I made a card using an image designed by Ching Chou Kuik called Moonlight Whipering and it was kindly provided by our sponsor Sweet Pea Stamps. I colored my lovely image with watercolor pencils and mounted it on two scrapbook papers. Then, I adorned it with some crystals, some pearls and flowers. The sentiment explains what we feel about love: we want it to last forever.

Cheerful flowers

I confess I love watercolors. It is not a technique I master as I would like to. Maybe I will some day. I created this card/ painting inspired by spring which is our season right now. How can one resist it? Spring is so charming!

I am entering my watercolor the following challenges:

Little Witch

I've created this card using an image called Little Witch from Ali Peeps Art and you can find it at  the Stitchy Bear outlet. I colored my lovely witch digitally and added some dots to her skirt and stars to her hat. Then I layered it onto a vintage Halloween paper I found at Creative Elegance Designs. There are many fabulous freebies there. The black cat and the pumpkin are from AS Designs. The sentiment I found when I was surfing the net.  Halloween is not a tradition here. We have St Cosmas and Damian's Day on September 27th instead. People give bags of candy to celebrate them because they are regarded as the protectors of children here. Different ways of commemorating our inner child huh!

My card was originally created for The Cheerful Stamp Pad where I am a Designer and  for Haunted Humpday. I am also entering the following challenges:

Queen of Loving Fire

Marie, Bev and Ann challenged us to alter a playing card. Mine is a Queen of Wands.Below is the back of the card. Queens of Wands have a lot of positive, uplifting energy. Besides, they are one of the most fertile feminine energy in a Tarot deck.I tried to create a card that could express that.
