Frida in Brazil

This is my hand drawn Frida. I created the background first. Then I drew her. When I finished I glued my Frida to the painted background and adorned my work with some washi tapes. I edited it in Gimp and added the quote. The original below.

Frida Tropical

“Nothing is worth more than laughter. It is strength to laugh and to abandon oneself, to be light. Tragedy is the most ridiculous thing.”
― Frida Kahlo

I colorized the photo and added it to a background which I created using different textures. Frida is an inspiration.

My Frida

I paint flowers so they will not die.”
― Frida Kahlo

I hope the flowers I draw and paint never die either. Frida was a "juicy" woman, my dear Simon Says. She was unstoppable. Although she suffered a lot, she fought against her fears and insecurities. She was a warrior  in my opinion and is and will always be an icon of female creativity. Frida has inspired me in so many ways and makes us Latin-American women so proud.

Frida, my love

I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best.

Loving Frida, Amando Frida

Infelizmente a palavra pés ficou sem acento porque o gerador que faz este tipo de fita está em inglês. Portanto, mil perdões a Língua Portuguesa.
