My Lady is Love

Charge of the Goddess

Listen to the words of the Great Mother, who of old was called Artemis, Astarte, Dione, Melusine, Aphrodite, Cerridwen, Diana, Arienrhod, Brigid, and by many other names:

Whenever you have need of anything, once in the month, and better it be when the moon is full, you shall assemble in some secret place and adore the spirit of Me who is Queen of all Witches.
There shall you assemble, who have not yet won my deepest secrets and are fain to learn all sorceries. To these shall I teach that which is yet unknown.
You shall be free from slavery, and as a sign that you be free you shall be naked in your rites.
Sing, feast, dance, make music and love, all in My presence, for Mine is the ecstasy of the spirit and Mine also is joy on earth.
For My law is love unto all beings.
Mine is the secret that opens upon the door of youth, and Mine is the cup of wine of life that is the Cauldron of Cerridwen that is the holy grail of immortality.
I am the Gracious Goddess who gives the gift of youth unto the heart of mankind.
I give the knowledge of the spirit eternal and beyond death I give peace and freedom and reunion with those that have gone before.
Nor do I demand aught of sacrifice, for behold, I am the mother of all things and My love is poured upon the earth.
Hear the words of the Star Goddess, the dust of whose feet are the hosts of heaven, whose body encircles the universe:
I who am the beauty of the green earth and the white moon among the stars and the mysteries of the waters,
I call upon your soul to arise and come unto Me. For I am the soul of nature that gives life to the universe. From Me all things proceed and unto Me they must return.
Let My worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold — all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals. Let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you.

And you who seek to know Me, know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not, unless you know the Mystery: for if that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without.

For behold, I have been with you from the beginning, and I am that which is attained at the end of desire.

My Goddesses

 Kuan Yin

If with kindly generosity
One merely has the wish to soothe
The aching hearts of other beings,
Such merit has no bounds.

 Kuan Yin

The Cosmic Goddess

"Cosmic Goddess Consciousness awakens within us a deep Understanding of the Laws of Creation. All matter is ruled by spiritual laws and principles which are governed by the heavenly bodies of intelligence, put into place to oversee the manifestation of worlds."
 Shannon Port

 Goddess Konohana

"She is the luminous space that opens within you as you shed the borrowed masks and painful habits of separation and come closer to Self. When the body awakens with Her, you will see the inherent Presence in all things, you “see with a thousand eyes”. She is the intoxicating beauty of pure perception. She is You."
 ~ Chameli Ardagh

 Yansã

The spirit of the Great Mother is in every, every scripture. The Sacred Feminine, the Great Mother, the Holy Woman, She Who Is Called By Many Names. She Who Hears the Cries of the World. The Mother Goddess takes manifests multitudinously as earth and water. She has but doesn't possess, acts but doesn't expect. She who is Earth and Her people are the same.We mend and weave the web of Life together. May the Great Mother continue blessing us all and calling us back to Life.

 The Maiden

"The Radiant Goddess is an essence of your soul. She rises within your innermost heart to reveal and unlock orchestrated fields of awareness that live at the core of Life and the heart of the Universe. The Goddess unites the masculine and feminine aspects of your being, and awakens the peace, wholeness, wisdom, perspectives and virtues that are native to the Higher Self.

The Great Goddess

The Goddess within is bursting forth, and by stepping into this vision, we do no 'become' empowered. We exist within our conscious awareness, living life by 'being' empowered. The concept of divine woman as an instrument of the All is re-emerging to speak this message loud and clear, in effort to re-balance our world.

My Lady

“Lady of the silver moon
Enchantress of the night
Protect me and mine within this circle fairly cast.
Earth Mother, mother of the sleeping earth,
Keep safe all who gather here
Within the protective shelter of your arms.

By the earth that is Her body,
By the air that is Her breath,
By the fire that is Her bright spirit,
And by the living waters of Her womb,
Our circle is cast,
None shall come to harm here,
From any forces,
On any level.

As we will,
So shall it be done.
As we will,
So mote it be.”

Imbolc

Imbolc Night

Imbolc candles burn so bright,
On windows sills they sit
They call the Sun to see the light;
Through eve we keep them lit

We plow the field to sow the seeds,
As winter begins to die
Brigid’s bed made and crosses weaved
On our altar they so lie

Candle flames surround the night
With love our circle’s cast
Promise of spring, we honor Brigid
The time has now come at last

~ written by Lady Caer Morganna

Imbolc marks the early signs of Spring, such a snowdrops and crocuses, and the lengthening of days. The lighting of fires and candles represent the return of the Sun. We honor the Goddess Brighid as the waiting bride of the returning Sun God, and we celebrate a ritual of cleansing and purification.

Co-Creatrix

“She is so bright and glorious that you cannot look at her face or her garments for the splendor with which she shines. For she is terrible with the terror of the avenging lightning, and gentle with the goodness of the bright sun; and both her terror and her gentleness are incomprehensible to humans.... But she is with everyone and in everyone, and so beautiful is her secret that no person can know the sweetness with which she sustains people, and spares them in inscrutable mercy.”

Selene

Hymn to Selene

Muses, sweet-speaking daughters of Zeus Kronides
and mistresses of song, sing next of long-winged Moon!
From her immortal head a heaven-sent glow
envelops the earth and great beauty arises
under its radiance. From her golden crown the dim air
is made to glitter as her rays turn night to noon,
whenever bright Selene, having bathed her beautiful skin
in the Ocean, put on her shining rainment
and harnessed her proud-necked and glittering steeds,
swiftly drives them on as their manes play
with the evening, dividing the months. Her great orbit is full
and as she waxes a most brilliant light appears
in the sky. Thus to mortals she is a sign and a token.

Yemanjá - Mother of Living Waters

Yemanja (Yemoja) is an orisha, originally of the Yoruba religion, who has become prominent in many Afro-American religions. Africans from what is now called Yorubaland brought Yemaya/Yemoja and a host of other deities/energy forces in nature with them when they were brought to the shores of the Americas as captives. She is the ocean, the essence of motherhood, and a protector of children. Yemaja is said to be the mother of all orisha. She also is the spirit of water, and her favorite number is 7. In Yorùbá religion is a mother goddess; patron deity of women, especially pregnant women; and the Ogun river. Her parents are Oduduwa and Obatala. There are many stories as to how she became the mother of all Orishas. She was married to Aganju and had one son, Orungan, and fifteen Orishas came forth from her. They include Ogun, Olokun, Shopona and Shango. Other stories would say that Yemaya was always there in the beginning and all life came from her, including all of the orishas. Her name is a contraction of Yoruba words: "Yeye omo eja" that mean "Mother whose children are like fish." This represents the vastness of her motherhood, her fecundity and her reign over all living things. Yemaya is celebrated in Ifá tradition as Yemoja. As Iemanja Nana Borocum, or Nana Burku, she is pictured as a very old woman, dressed in black and mauve, connected to mud, swamps, earth. Nana Buluku is an ancient god in Dahomey mythology. She is known as Yemanjá, Iemanjá or Janaína in Brazilian Candomblé and Umbanda religions. The Umbanda religion worships Iemanjá as one of the seven orishas of the African Pantheon. She is the Queen of the Ocean, the patron deity of the fishermen and the survivors of shipwrecks, the feminine principle of creation and the spirit of moonlight. A syncretism happens between the catholic Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes (Our Lady of the Seafaring) and the orixá Yemanjá of the African Mithology. Sometimes, a feast can honor both.

Lakshmi

Prayer to Lakshmi

Glory to you, O Mother, glory to you, mother Lakshmi. Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma meditate on you everyday and night.

You are yourself the consort of Brahma, Rudra and Vishnu and the mother of the world. The sage Narada sings your praises and the Sun and the Moon meditate on you.

As Durga, you grant both happiness and prosperity and he who centres his attention on you becomes a recipient of all riddhis and siddhis Prosperity and Accomplishment.

None but you dwell in the nether regions of the earth and you alone ensure good luck, bring to light the effect of action (karma), and protect all worldly treasures.

All the virtues collect themselves where you have your dwelling; with your grace and favour even the impossible becomes possible without causing any nervous agitation.

No sacrifice can be performed without you; no one can obtain any garment; it is from you that one obtains one’s sustenance.

O! daughter of the Ocean of Milk and the beauteous temple of all propitious virtues, you are verily a living mass of all fourteen gems with which none else is endowed.

Whosoever hymns this prayer to Lakshmi is purged of his sins and experiences the ecstasy of joy
.

................................

Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess of wealth, prosperity (both material and spiritual), fortune, and the embodiment of beauty. She is one of my favourite Goddesses. I hope my art can do justice to her magnificence.

...............................

Lakshmi é a deusa da riqueza, da prosperidade (tanto material quanto espiritual e é a corporificação da beleza. Ela é uma das minhas Deusas favoritas. Espero que a minha arte possa ter feito justiça a sua magnificência.

The Morrighan

A prayer to Morrighan

Blessed Morrighan, whose sacred names are three,
I do not pray for strength, for you show me the strength within me.

I do not pray for courage, for I follow you willingly into battle.

I do not pray for wisdom, for you teach me of the Crone within me.
I do not pray for blessings, because I live each day in blessed Magick, following the ways of the wise.
I do not pray for prosperity, for I live in gratitude of the abundance which flows through my life.
I do not pray for love, for love runs like water to me through my family and friends.

I pray to remember these gifts, for in my despair I can lose my way, and lose my awareness that I am a daughter of your ways.
I pray to remember that when I look into my image, your face is reflected there, and I can carry any burden because you live within me.

The Morrighan is the Celtic goddess of battle ad war.
