T stands for November

Good Morning My T-Friends!

Here I am drinking my coffee and eating my grilled ham and cheese, thinking about life. How are you? Today is All Saint's Day and tomorrow is Day of the Dead here. It's a public holiday. In general people go to graveyards, taking flowers to embellish their beloved ones graves. People also lit candles. It is a day to pray and honour your ancestors. It's usually a sad day for old people. The young generations don't care much about this tradition.

But death is never the end. It is just a part of a cycle. We never die. We live forever specially in the hearts of those who love us.

I made 2 ATCs. So if you are interested we can trade cards. Just let me know. I am going to create some others.

I hope you have a magical week!

Hugs,
Karla

  1. I totally agree with you on your view of life and death. The quote is what I believe too. It is sometimes difficult to explain to other people, especially people who have lost a loved one. That's why we don't grieve too much for our parents. My dad is always in my thoughts and it is as if he walks with me.I even do certain things because I know my dad would like that. My husband feels his mum spiritually very near. They lived far apart when she was alive but now she seems nearer...
I like your ATCs. No, I have noting to trade as yet. But when my craft room is up and running I plan to make ATCs again.
    Enjoy your bank holiday.
Happy T-Day and have a good week,
    Lisca

  7. I'm so glad you posted this Dia de los Muertos information and photos, because my friend Erika N (who also shares T with us) has been working on journal pages with that same theme. If you have a chance, you might also visit her previous post where she shows photos from a graveyard.

Your ATCs are wonderful and the photos from the cemetery are truly beautiful.

Thanks for sharing your awesome digital coffee and sweets entry, your ATCs, as well as your beautiful take on Day of the Dead with us for T this Tuesday.

  8. I'll remember you when I go to my family graves tomorrow. Most people here don't observe All Souls Day, but it's always been meaningful to me. Happy T Tuesday!

  11. A lovely post to read. It is good to learn more about how different traditions in other countries and the quote was from the heart.

  13. What a wonderful way to celebrate Day of the Dead! I think this is a much more positive day than Halloween, which I think folk have forgotten is the day before All Saint's Day! Your ATCs look great - haven't made any for a while! Happy T day! Chrisx
