Ladies and Gentlemen, the bride
If I touch a burning candle, I can feel no pain. If you cut me with a knife, it's still the same. And I know her heart is beating, and I know that I am dead; yet the pain here that I feel, try and tell me it's not real, and it seems that I still have a tear to shed.

Art reminds me I have a soul
Girl holding flowers
It is Spring here and we are preparing ourselves for a steaming hot Summer but it was not our season that inspired me. Whenever I am worried, I got my pencils and oil pastels to let off steam. Drawing/ painting/doodling helps me to find balance. It is a therapy because my minds concentrates on colors and shapes. Art is a fantastic thing! I do think Art and Poetry soothe our minds and hearts. They are the real proof human beings can be bigger than they are in fact. I found this quote:
Life beats down and crushes the soul and art reminds you that you have one.
Stella Adler
I am glad I still have mine.
Have a magical day!

In the silence
To creep in by candle-light,
When all the world is fast asleep,
Out of the cold winds, out of the night,
Where the nettles wave and the rains weep!...
And light the candle and look round
The old familiar room;
To see the old books upon the wall
And lovingly take one down again...
And, or ever we go, we lift and kiss
Some idle thing that your hands may touch,
Some paper or book that your hands let fall...
To kiss and to cherish it, moaning our pain,
Ere we creep to the silence again.
~Alfred Noyes, "Ghosts"

In culture after culture, people believe that the soul lives on after death, that rituals can change the physical world and divine the truth, and that illness and misfortune are caused and alleviated by spirits, ghosts, saints ... and gods.

Love & Compassion
I have been quite inspired lately and journaling is a passion. I caught myself thinking about love and compassion: two rare feelings in a world where so many forgot where their hearts are.We can't live without both feelings: the first makes us walk without our feet and the second makes us touch the other with our hearts. My mother and father taught me both and I am grateful to them because they have made my life more meaningful.

A La Svenja Jodicke
Inspiration Avenue challenged us to create something in the style of our favourite artist but I love many artists so I chose Svenja Jodicke. She was born in Germany and uses watercolor techniques in her paintings.

Shine Happy People!
Today I am not working so my creative juices are flowing fast. My girls are at home too. One is riding her bike in our yard. The other is having a virtual argument with her boyfriend. How strange! But what is technology for huh?! It is sunny and cool like a spring day has to be. What a lovely inspiring day! Here is my contribution for Moo-Mania. The theme is metal so I used a metal paper to create my tag. The effects of light on the paper are super cool!
And here is a bit of my corner of the world. Isn't it a lovely day?
Have a magical weekend!

When the fairies play
“Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.”

Lonely Girl
“The dark is generous, and it is patient, and it always wins.
It always wins because it is everywhere.
It is in the wood that burns in your hearth, and in the kettle on the fire; it is under your chair and under your table and under the sheets on your bed. Walk in the midday sun, and the dark is with you, attached to the soles of your feet.
The brightest light casts the darkest shadow.”
― Matthew Woodring Stover

Ellora and Spooky
Couldn't resist drawing a witch especially now that Halloween is around the corner. I used watercolor pencils, oil pastels and acrylics. Her name is Ellora and she's a modern witch that's why she's wearing purple instead of black. Her cat's name is Spooky and they live in my heart.
