Zen Girl

It took me two days to finish my journal pages. I didn't want the black color to pop out and it was definetely quite a challenge to zentangle her hair and then only use 2 kinds of green and pink to color it. My daughter kept saying: " she's so serious mom!". My mother loved her but mothers are suspicious beings. I love zentangles. It is a passion.

Tolerance

There has been a lot of attacks on people in my country due to their particular faith. All of a sudden, hatred and intolerance became part of our dictionaries. I wish people could respect each other's religion as it used to be here. We have coexisted peacefully. 

It is with much sorrow that I created my journal pages and deep inside I know this problem won't stop. I fear the future.

Purple is the color of spirituality and we all need to find something to believe in.

When I was drawing my girl, I was thinking about a student of mine who has purple hair. I mean she's always changing her hair color. It was pink in February. Then it was navy blue and now it is purple. She's a bold girl and I like that.
