T stands for Travel

Hello My T-Friends!

How are you today? I hpe you are well. As I told you I travelled last week to a small city in the north of Rio de Janeiro. There are 15 beaches there and they are fascinating. It is a very quiet city and it is perfect if you want to relax.
I spent five magical days, enjoying the landscape, listening to the waves breaking on the shore. Here are some photos.

My daughter enjoying the scenery.

You can see a lot of turtles in the sea from here. It's amazing.

It was very windy and I am dishevelled ha ha ha. A lot of artisans sell their goods here. I bought a lovely Frida Kahlo painting ( naive art).

Look at this fabulous graffitti on this house. What a lovely street art!

My daughter and me.

Here is a friend of mine. We've been friends for over 30 years. She lives there. My daughter is the smiling girl taking the photo.

Don't forget to visit Elizabeth

  1. Mmmm I can just smell that salty air. Being at the beach surely is heaven on earth. Thanks for sharing your beautiful vacation. I know I'll be dreaming of the beach...
    happy T day!

  2. see? I got so hooked at the beach that i forgot to tell you how much I also love your digital art-the cupcake images are darling!

  3. Unlike Linda and you, I am not much for the beach. I live in a land locked area, so getting to the beach in any direction would take at least a day. But I'm also not fond of crowds, sand in my feet, and sunburn.

What I enjoyed was seeing YOU have so much fun with your daughter and friend. And the fun you had taking all those lovely photos. I also enjoyed the mugs and jam waiting so the coffee or cappuccino wouldn't get cold. It's a gorgeous digital entry.

Thanks for sharing your travel photos and your beautiful coffee inspired art with us for T this Tuesday.

  4. 15 beaches?! I'm impressed. My closest beach is an hour away and on a lake lol. Not at all the same thing. I love your photos! Thx :) Happy T Tuesday

  9. I love your art today, the colours are so bright and cheery and the reindeer cupcakes in the background are adorable! It looks like you had a wonderful time on your travels, what could be better then being by the beach and listening to the waves crash on the shore :-). I bet the market stalls were facinating and so colourful! Wishing you a Happy T Day! Jo x

  10. It looks like you had a great time at the beach. I also like the sand and surf even if it usually comes with some wind. How nice to see you and your daughter. The photo with you friend expresses how much joy you must have had being there.

  11. Ahhhh you reminded me just how much i miss the ocean... its been far too long since i've heard the waves crash on the beach... or felt the sand between my toes... Thanks for this... Happy happy Tday! Hugs! deb

  12. What lovely photos! I'm not much of a beachbaby, as I don't like crowds and busy beaches. The place you went to looks really nice and quiet. You didn't mention where it was. Well, that is your secret....
It's was great to see photos of you and your daughter (and your friend). You all look very happy.
The craft stalls look interesting, but they were empty in your photo.
You have touched on two of my favorite things: Frida Kahlo and street art/grafitti.
Frida Kahlo? She is my favorite artist. I have a pinterest page with photos of her (and Diego too)(https://es.pinterest.com/liscameijer/frida/).
I like grafitti and street art, because I lived in Bristol (UK) for many years and have grown to appreciate the different street artists. Banksy is a Bristol street artist (now world famous). Needless to say I also have a Pinterest page on street art. (https://es.pinterest.com/liscameijer/street-art-grafitti/)
    Happy T-Day,

  13. What a great place for a beach break. It looks as though you had plenty of time to relax! Hugs, Chrisx

  15. Oh my, what wonderful, refreshing photos! Feeling envious as we here in North America are going into winter, and it has gotten quite cold where I live! The beach scenes are really gorgeous. I love the sound of waves and the feel of sand between my toes. thank you for sharing! ♥
