The Priestess

The High Priestess card symbolizes the unconscious, a concern with our internal worlds, spiritual forces, and the understanding of higher truths through dreams and intuition. The mysterious High Priestess jealously guards her secrets and occult wisdom.

As a wise woman, the High Priestess is the Goddess of fertility and is seen as a healer possessing intuitive powers and clairvoyance, and creating harmony and inner-balance. The High Priestess indicates someone who has great intuitive abilities. It describes someone who is quite domesticated, and one who is drawn to nurturing and to being nurtured. The High Priestess describes someone who wants and needs a safe place to retreat when needed.
