A moment to consider

Hello Elizabeth!Hello my lovelies!

How are you all? Yesterday was tough. Took my fur friend to the vet and the doc told me one of Babi's eyes is lost. She's got cataract. She is only two years old. My heart broke. Then it was my daughter's turn to make me blue: crying she told me her boyfriend will have to move to another state to finish his studies. He couldn't find a vacancy here so he will have to come back to his old university in the north. It is strange a bond between a mother and her kids. You feel their pain intensely. After her birth, my heart has been out and it is so hard to see her suffering. Her boyfriend is sad too, He cried so much. Both are so young. Hope they find strength to overcome what the future brings. That's life huh: a box of surprises.

Have a magical day my friends!

  3. My fur friend before Bleubeard had cataracts, He lived to be just a few months older than 19, so there is hope for Babi.

What Bridget said about love reminds me of an old Chinese proverb:
Absence is to love what wind is to fire. It kindles the great and extinguishes the small.

I can feel your pain, but the most you can do is find a way to stay in your daughter's life and continue encouraging her on this journey. And I assure you, it IS a journey.

Thank you for sharing this digital beauty with us for T this Tuesday. Let's hope brighter days are ahead.

  4. Really gorgeous art you've made...a box of surprises, indeed! your fur friend will surprise you at how adaptable he/she will be...I suspect a long life is still to be had...do hope your daughter adjusts and that you will be able to support and comfort her in the way that she needs. Totally agree with Elizabeth's quote above! time will tell...have a happy T day and wonderful week!

  5. So true what you said about children.
Being a mother means wearing your heart outside your body (I think there is a quote about that)
Sending healing caring wishes your way.

Motherhood is sometimes the hardest job in the world and yes it is a box of surprises.......then come the grandkids and the world gets better......grin
Your little friend is special, and only the ones that can handle the situation, are the ones that get to care for these blessed creatures and enjoy sharing their lives.
    Happy T-day

  7. They can get used to getting around totally blind, so never fear. Love works wonders. And if those young one's love is strong it will survive this temporary separation. She has you for support, too. Happy T-Day! :)
