Haute Couture
Girl in blue
This week our Artist Inspiration at Digitalmania was Julie Nutting.
She creates lovely mixed media collages from scraps of paper and other bits and pieces.
Her couture girls and their ensembles are meticulously hand cut using an assortment of papers, then adhered to handpainted canvas. The backgrounds feature layer upon layer of paint, ink and torn paper.

ResponderExcluirI love the backgrounds. . . and, of course, the haute couture. I wanted to be a dress designer when I grew up, guess I haven't grown up yet. . .I love the idea of the newspaper as their bodies. Blessings, Janet PPF
ResponderExcluirYour text ladies are beautiful, the haute couture dresses are beautiful, especially the blue one, and the backgrounds stunning. And I am really knocked out by that gorgeous lady in red. Very inspirational, you make me want to make a prettily dressed text lady like that. Sorry I've been absent from commenting for a while, Karla - life gets in the way sometimes.
