We were challenged to create an art journal page in the theme of affirmation at Three Muses this week. I have often caught myself thinking about art and what makes something art. How can art be defined and who sets the standards? Is art what stands the test of time? Well, I don't know. I have always loved art but I confess that poetry/Literature is my everything, my air, my yesterday and my tomorrow. Once a Brazilian poet called Mário Quintana said that a good poem is the one that reads the reader. Maybe art is what reads our senses and sweeps us into eternity. I still can't find a good definition for it.But I am sure about one thing: every created work is a potential work of art.
