My Lady
“Lady of the silver moon
Enchantress of the night
Protect me and mine within this circle fairly cast.
Earth Mother, mother of the sleeping earth,
Keep safe all who gather here
Within the protective shelter of your arms.
By the earth that is Her body,
By the air that is Her breath,
By the fire that is Her bright spirit,
And by the living waters of Her womb,
Our circle is cast,
None shall come to harm here,
From any forces,
On any level.
As we will,
So shall it be done.
As we will,
So mote it be.”

Live, Laugh, Love
Hello Elizabeth!Hello My Lovelies!
Autumn started on Saturday and it has been raining since then. It is so cool and I love our new season. I think I will never get used to Summer. Maybe I am the only one Brazilian who doesn't like hot weather.I feel very tired during Summer.
Last Tuesday I couldn't take part in T stands for Tuesday because I had some problems. But as I promised here are the photos of a very special day I had with my students. We went to a Planetarium here. My good friend who is a Biology teacher was with me there plus our trainee teacher. He is going to graduate in December.

Just a flapper
“They were smart and sophisticated, with an air of independence about them, and so casual about their looks and clothes and manners as to be almost slapdash. I don't know if I realized as soon as I began seeing them that they represented the wave of the future, but I do know I was drawn to them. I shared their restlessness, understood their determination to free themselves of the Victorian shackles of the pre-World War I era and find out for themselves what life was all about.”

Lose your dreams to seek them
After some days of turbulence, I am back to my art. Life would be more difficult if I didn't have my dreamy moments. It keeps me sane as well as my poetry does. But how boring life would be if we didn't go through some tests. Aren't we puppets in fate's hands? Sometimes I catch myself thinking about free will. Does it really exist? Well I don't know. Sometimes I wish I had wings to fly away but our problems sit and wait for us. Living nowadays no matter where you are is a hard mission. But life goes on and we have to embrace ourselves, listen to our heartbeat and survive.
Have a magical day, my lovelies!

You know what truly aches?
Bharatanatyam - the art of my heart
"Bharatanatyam, in my opinion is not just a fine art to which children are exposed as a routine. It is a way of life which nurtures many related subjects which the average child may not come across in a school curriculum. Dance teaches them the core of our civilisation. They learn mythology, music, spirituality and languages. The body becomes a tool for expressing our culture in its myriad forms. When dancers as young as those I saw performing, walk through a temple, they learn about sculpture, painting, architecture and heritage. The lessons they learn are not from text books, but are experiences of Art. This augurs well for a future which can rely on a large number of youth who, having gone through the discipline of learning dance, will learn to respect all art forms. They will certainly stand up for a wide range of important aspects of culture which are getting slowly eroded with massive ignorance and indifference. They will be the custodians of our heritage, not just dance, because they have been exposed to the links that have held many streams together."

Bharatanatyam will ever be my favourite dance. It embodies a beauty I can't see anywhere else. This is my simple tribute to the art I will always carry in my heart. If you don't know it, there's a video below. Enjoy it!

Miss Charming
Hello My Lovelies!
First of all Happy Birthday Paint Party Friday!
I have been pretty busy this week: a lot of problems at home and at work. So, I couldn't dedicate myself to my art and to my blog friends. I didn't even have time to comment as I love doing. Yesterday I did the sketch above. It was pretty late so it's very simple. I will be visiting your blogs in a while, ok!

Hello Elizabeth!Hello My Lovelies!
How are you? Hope you are well. It's been raining since Saturday here and it's a blessing but it's still hot. Today I'm taking my students to a very special place. I'm going to show you the photos next week. It's 1 am and I'm worn out. See you in a few hours, my friends.
"Eleven Hints for Life"
1. It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return.
But what is more painful is to love someone and never
find the courage to let that person know how you feel.
2. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who
means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was
never meant to be and you just have to let go.
3. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a
porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away
feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.
4. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose
it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been
missing until it arrives.
5. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an
hour to like someone, and a day to love someone-but it
takes a lifetime to forget someone.
6. Don't go for looks, they can deceive. Don't go for wealth,
even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you
smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day
seem bright.
7. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go,
be what you want to be. Because you have only one life and
one chance to do all the things you want to do.
8. Always put yourself in the other's shoes. If you feel that it
hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.
9. A careless word may kindle strife. A cruel word may wreck
a life. A timely word may level stress. But a loving word may
heal and bless.
10. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best
of everything they just make the most of everything that comes
along their way.
11. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with
a tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyone
around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die,
you're the one smiling and everyone around you is crying.
