T stands for Life

Hello Elizabeth! Hello My Lovely Friends!

It's been a long time since I took part in T stands for Tuesday. I left Elizabeth a comment about what was happening: my mother was sick and unfortunately what she's got is progressive. It was hard to swallow this new reality. But we are doing our best to make her life enjoyable. Love is a great medicine. Apart from that so many other things happened: I got the Zika Virus, my work changed drastically (now I am teaching kids too and it is terrific!), I made some new friends, my country got out of control, my furry friend died and inspiration disappeared. But life flows! I can't say I am well. I guess it takes some time to have one's heart healed when so many strange things occur at the same time. I hope you forgive me for my sudden revelation, however, behind this machine, there's a human being, I know many people can identify themselves with my private drama. I just hope I can always link up with T stands for Tuesday from now on.
Have a magical week!

This is exactly what I've been doing.

  1. Oh Karla, I feel so bad for you. I also feel so sad that I have let life get in the way of visiting more often. So much sadness in your life right now, I can feel the weight of it in your words. I wish there was something I could do for your mother, but it sounds like you are doing all you can for her at this time.

Will they ever get the Zika virus under control? I know it's here in the States, too. My friend Sally is so worried because I keep a bucket of rusty water around. She says even a drop of water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

So sorry to read about your furry loved one. They certainly steal your heart and I don't relish the day one of my "boys" dies.

Thank you for sharing your pain with us for T this Tuesday. I know how painful things are in your country at the moment. What should have been Brazil's crowning moment has turned into a disaster. Thanks, too, for sharing your great art with us for T. It is beautiful, and you make digital art that is always stunning.

  9. Oh Karla, un abrazo (a hug) from me. I have missed you and hadn't realised you were having so many problems. Thank you for sharing something of it with us.
I'm really sorry to hear about your mother. Life can be cruel and unfair. I wish I could do something but all I can do is pray. I strongly believe in the power of prayer and will pray for your mother by name if you would give me her name please.
You are teaching kids now..... and you are finding it terrific. In English terrific means 'great'. I hope that is what you mean and that you are really enjoying it. But something tells me you are not liking it, so perhaps terrifying is a better word? (filled with terror).
I don't know much about that virus and have no idea what is happening in Brazil but all I know is that my friend Karla is having a hard time. You rightly say that love is the soothing balm that gets us through the difficult times. So I am sending you love and encouragement and lots of virtual hugs and of course my prayers.
    Stay strong!
    Un abrazo,
    Lisca

  10. Oh dear Karla~ I do hope you heal quickly, both from your virus and all the other situations that life has thrown at you! I have been listening to the news about your government on the radio and it is sad that the politicians fight amongst themselves at the expense of the people. It seems to be a universal problem with politics, and I fear for the U.S. presidential election that we are facing as well. Prayers, and the good people of our countries sustain us! Blessings and Peace to you...happy T day!
