T stands for Hope

Hello My T- Friends!

Last week was terribly insane. My furry friend had her second leg amputated. We both suffered because I didn't want her to go through another surgery but it was necessary. She was in pain due to an osteosarcoma. She was discharged last monday after five days of hospitalization. She's well now and today she had her stitches removed. Babi - my furry friend has been teaching me a lot. She has endured pain with immense strenght and resignation. And believe you or not she's now walking on her two legs. Sometimes we see an obstacle and we give up fast. Babi has taught me to be strong and to believe we can everything. She's my heroine. I love her so much. I know I will lose her in the long run but right now she's alive and that is all that matters.

Babi before the surgery

Babi after the surgery
Life does go on, my friends.

Yesterday I had some time so I created a couple of pages for Color Me Positive:

I hope my art can always save me from my limitations as a human being because sometimes I feel my heart is out and that makes me so vulnerable.

Have a magical day and visit Elizabeth!

Hugs,
Karla

  1. So glad Babi is doing so well. I can't believe how much pain she must have been in. And of course, your loving her shows, even after the successful surgeries.

Your art shows lots of hope and is quite lovely. I always like your art, and of course, I LOVE the digital art, too. Had to laugh at "for your protection." I loved it.

Thanks for sharing Babi's surgery, your lovely art, and your digital coffee with us for T this Tuesday.

  15. Oh, Karla, your poor Babi. This makes me cry. What you wrote at the end is beautiful - "I hope my art can always save me from my limitations as a human being because sometimes I feel my heart is out and that makes me so vulnerable."

It's difficult to say happy T-day, but as you said, life goes on. Until it doesn't ;-)

    So, Happy T-day. Hugs, Eileen

  16. Sending my best to Babi. Animals have such amazing abilities to survive. I agree-they are truly inspirational. Babi is very lucky to have you and I know you will both thrive with each other's care-because I am sure for all you give to Babi she gives so much back to you too. My dogs do that to me all the time. :) Happy T day and thanks for the inspiration. Hugs-Erika
