T stands for Celebration!

Hello my T-Day Friends!

Yes, Santa drinks coffee too! But I bet he doesn't during Summer time.By the way, Mr Summer is here and it's been unbearable! It's very, very hot and we feel tired. It's been around 40º C almost every day and it's even quite dangerous to go to the beach: our refuge. People love going to the beach in the evening specially during Summer in Rio. The water is so warm and enjoyable!
I can't believe we have 3 months ahead!I am going to evaporate! But the good part is that I am officially on holidays...Classes begin again only in February! So let's celebrate! And yes that reminds me of The Lion King:

Hakuna Matata
What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata!
Ain't no passing crazy

It means no worries
For the rest of your days
It's our problem-free philosophy
Hakuna Matata!

Hakuna Matata everyone!

But there's another very important celebration before we sing Hakuna Matata. Yes, my good friends,Christmas is next Thursday and it's time to let the light in and give birth to Jesus in our hearts.
So...
May the spirit of Christmas warm your heart and bring joy to you and your family.

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself...
~Norman Wesley Brooks

My tree.

Hugs,
Karla

  8. I find it so ironic that we are celebrating in cold and you are celebrating in heat. Before the internet and blogging, there was no way to put it in perspective before. I so enjoyed your Santa and your lovely worry free attitude. The artwork is superb, and so is your incredible tree. I SO LOVE trees and really enjoyed seeing yours.

Here's to a very merry Christmas to you and your family, dear Karla. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art, your Hakuna Matata, and your tree with us for T this Tuesday. I wish for cooler weather for you, and a very special Christmas.

  9. We're having unseasonably warm weather here in Memphis (high today is expected to be 70F and tomorrow 74F), but nothing like what your summertime Christmas is like!

May the love of Christ fill your season. Happy T Tuesday :)

  11. 40 degrees Celsius, that´s pretty hot! For us, who whine if we have no snow for Christmas ("it´s unnatural!") it´s good to be reminded that the world is larger than Scandinavia. Your Santa is charming! Merry Christmas and Happy T-Day!

  13. What a lovely post. It's great to see your tree with all the little ornaments in it. Each one has fond memories, I'm sure.

  14. Karla, your tree is just gorgeous--I bet each of those ornaments has a special story to tell. Our temperatures on Christmas are predicted at near 70 degrees which is probably 30 degrees higher than normal for this time of year. Wish I had some snow to send you and cool you off.
Enjoy your vacation from school and wishing you and your family a Very Merry Christmas!
