What else do you need?

Hello Elizabeth! Hello My Lovelies!

How are you? Hope life has been treating you well. This is my last week at home: yep, work starts on February 2nd. The dream is over. I am an indoor type I confess. Love staying in with my girls. But there is no choice: life is shouting "c'mon Karla! Let's start over, my dear! ". So here I go, afraid of the new educational policies which make  no sense at all, especially after being teaching for 25 years. Neoliberalism destroys everything. I hope to retire before things get worse. What gives me solace is the fact that I love my job.
There is no news about my daughter's university yet. The  process is long and tiring. We are here waiting and waiting. But we will survive.

Have a magical day!

  2. Wonderful journal pages, thanks for joining us at Moo Mania and more. I was teaching for 35 years, and I know what you mean about the effects of neoliberalism.... Hugs, Valerie

  3. I was a bit taken back by your lovely spread. I'm used to oohhing and aahhing over your digital art, and you surprised me this week with your fun and interesting journal. Loved the teapot and of course, I LOVE coffee, so that saying is so true for me, too.

Thanks for sharing this true beauty with us for T this Tuesday, dear Karla.

  7. a wonderful spread, karla! so many awesome Details!
i agree... working at School doesn´t become easier... i´ve been a teacher for over 30 years, but in 2013 i decided to quit due to health issues... i liked to work with pupils, but it is extremely exhausting (the parents often more than the Kids)
