She is a butterfly that will never escape

There she is

face of a mask,

lips of red

her obi tells her status,

her materials detrmine the space in her pockets

her fan tells her dance

the music she playes her skill

her words her knowledge

her shoes her age

the hair her level in the job

but what of her life?

but what of that face behind that mask of makeup?

the past that she gave up for this?

for whatever reason,

for better or worse,

she is a butterfly that will never escape

the mess of cherry blossom petals

a plague of beauty that binds all which touch it.

a dance in which is never really planned according to everything

that is also called life.
