Robert gave me a cup of kindnesss in 1985

You should be asking the reason why  I chose such a weird title. Well, my lovelies, I studied Robert Burns at university in 1985. Literature/ Poetry is like air in my life. They are the beauty conceived by the gods.

  1. Wow! You are sure to know a lot more about Robert Burns than we English-as-a-first-language do!! I need a glossary to recognise a lot of his words. Do you sing "Auld Lang Syne" on New Year's Eve as the clock strikes 12? It's quite a tradition all over the world.
I love your tribute to Burns, Karla, from his new kilt to his thistles! Gorgeous artwork.

  2. I hate to seem ignorant, but I don't know very much about Robert Burns and even less about his poetry. However, because I am a trivia buff (one who stores useless knowledge in place of needed information), I know Burn's birthday is today. So, you did him justice, that's for sure.

  4. So this is another thing we have in common, dear Karla! I especially like Auld Lang Syne (Harry and Sally is always the first thing that comes to my mind when I listen to that song) and Ae Fond Kiss.
