Santa Muerte or Saint Death in English is a saint venerated in Mexico. She is associated with healing, protection, and safe delivery to the afterlife by her devotees. We don't worship
Santa Muerte in Brazil but we have Dia de Los Muertos or Day of the Dead and it is on November 2nd. It is a holiday for us and many people go to cemeteries and churches to honour their loved ones who passed away.

This is very explanatory art. The picture shows what you wanted. Scary. Or like you say ( Creepy).
ResponderExcluirMine is at my blog.
Scary says bye Creepy.
I have learned something today, Karla. Superbly creepy, my friend.

Beautifully creepy, Karla!!
ResponderExcluirWonderfully beautifully creepy Karla...Bravo!
ResponderExcluirI love your Day of the Dead beauty!
ResponderExcluirI grew up in Mexico, but never heard of Santa Muerte. I know certain Mayan ancestors in Southern Mexico and Central America still maintain ancient traditions, so that may be where she comes from. Blessings!
ResponderExcluirExcellent creepy artwork! Kudos.
ResponderExcluirHer eyes are especially scaring, they are so death. Here in Finland is also a day we are recalling our past away family members, it's in November, too.
ResponderExcluirOh she looks very scary! Wonderful piece! xx
ResponderExcluirWhat a perfect tribute to Dia de los Muertos! It certainly qualifies as creepy -- and it's SO well done, Karla! Applause.
ResponderExcluirI've always been intrigued by those sugar skulls. It's interesting how people make something beautiful out of death.
ResponderExcluirKarla, I absolutely love this! Your Santa Muerte has the soul-saving passion of the saint and the chill of the angel of death. Bravo from me!
ResponderExcluirLove this so much!
ResponderExcluirBeautiful work my friend:)
