Drunk with flowers and butterflies

I love butterflies. I always try to keep them close to me: in my art and in my life.

May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun
And find your shoulder to light on,
To bring you luck, happiness and riches

Connection

Hold on to what is good,
Even if it's a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe,
Even if it's a tree that stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do,
Even if it's a long way from here.

Hold on to your life,
Even if it's easier to let go.

Hold on to my hand,
Even if someday I'll be gone away from you.

Pueblo prayer

The best in you

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

Through the door

I have become my own version of an optimist.
If I can't make it through one door,
I'll go through another door - or I'll make a door.
Something terrific will come no matter how dark the present.

We are numbers

We are numbers

Fed up with myself
staying inside
why bother getting up
cold hard words
meaningless words
on just how much a life is worth
I submit to live a life feeling left over
I submit to live a life where I have nothing
lets blame the mailman
we are numbers
on your frame
the voices in the other end
who would care
when i give up
as the gold keeps comming in
I submit to live a life feeling left over
I submit to live a life where I have nothing

I am a thousand things

It is pretty difficult to define who we are through writing or images. I tried to show a bit who I am and I must admit I am a patchwork: an animal lover, a poet (I love writing poems) and an eager reader of Poetry - obviously. I am also my art and my faith. I don't know what life would be without them. I love Nature and my country. I love flowers, music and butterflies. Well, I am thousand things.This is me. Now tell me: who are you? I am all ears.

A She Sun

“Here lies a she sun, and a he moon there;
She gives the best light to his sphere;
Or each is both, and all, and so
They unto one another nothing owe;
And yet they do, but are
So just and rich in that coin which they pay,
That neither would, nor needs forbear, nor stay;
Neither desires to be spared nor to spare.
They quickly pay their debt, and then
Take no acquittances, but pay again;
They pay, they give, they lend, and so let fall
No such occasion to be liberal.
More truth, more courage in these two do shine,
Than all thy turtles have and sparrows, Valentine.”
John Donne

Audrey among the flowers

The challenge this week at Inspiration Avenue is Audrey Hepburn. She's been one of my favourite actresses since I was a little girl.Her elegance, charm and tenderness captivated not only me but a lot of people around the world. She's an icon, a superb woman.

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

Owl me!

Owl

An owl sat watching in a tree,
Just as wise as he could be,
Watching tricksters from door to door run,
Trick or treating and having fun.
After he had watched the whole scene,
He said, "Whoo, it's Owl-o-ween!"
