T stands for Carnival

It's Carnival here my lovelies!

And water is our best friend because it is hot.

Yes, Carnival is a national passion like coffee and soccer and it  is a democratic celebration because everybody gets involved in it as it takes the country hostage from the north to the south. I guess it might be weird for a foreigner to understand us = Brazilian people and only if you come here, you will comprehend our passions and the positive vibe brought by Carnival,

I created some pages for Color me Positive 2017 and some faces for 29 Faces. You can see them below.

Carnival is a holiday here and it lasts a couple of days. So I am at home, creating. But tomorrow I am going to dance in the street together with my daughter and friends. You are invited!

This is for T stands for Tuesday. Visit Elizabeth,

  11. Beautiful art and quotes, Karla. The ballerina one really speaks to me because I was one in younger days. Yes, discipline is key - but just as it is for art, which is my current love.

Understanding the excitement of Carnival or Mardi Gras is not difficult for many. I've been caught up in it when visiting New Orleans and now that I live in Mexico, I experience it every year.

Happy Carnival and Happy T-day to you! Hugs, Eileen

  15. I feel horrible that it has taken me so long to visit. I’m not a very good host this week, and for that I apologize. I loved your photos of Carnival. New Orleans has a similar "Red Dress Run" over the weekend during Carnival, too. Other than Trinidad and Brazil, New Orleans takes their Carnival very seriously, too. If you were here in the states, this (NOLA) would be the place to be during Carnival. Unfortunately, it doesn't spread across our country like it does yours.

Your art is SO joyful. I can see why you are so happy during this time, because the art is not only awesome, it is also extremely positive.

Thanks for sharing your Carnival photos, your beautiful art, and your water with us for T this week. Sadly I'm so late, by now Lent has started.

  16. Thank you for inviting us to the festivities! The photos are amazing. They reflect the atmosphere and are so colorful!
Your journal pages are great. Thanks for sharing,
    Happy (belated) T-Day,

Thank you for your lovely comment! It means a lot to me!
